BCG established a partnership, now three years and running, between Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Nikki Beach Club during the Cannes Film Festival. With terms negotiated by BCG, Nikki Beach Cannes served as an official sponsor and hosting venue for the annual HFPA philanthropic event and the organization’s Riviera-facing lounge
Occupying a renowned expanse of beachfront between the famed Croisette and the Mediterranean Sea, Nikki Beach boasts an ethereal atmosphere with indoor and outdoor settings set on seagrass flooring. It is reimagined each season with a fresh floral scheme and custom lounge seating that complements the Club’s branded director chairs in the dining room. The venue buzzes with the Club’s global clientele base and talent arriving for HPFA press conferences about films premiering at the Festival and the casts of films celebrating their Cannes debuts.
BCG staff managed the HFPA’s private lounge and attended to its journalist members seeking a private space to take meetings or participating in press conferences with casts from Blackkklansman, The Dead Don’t Die, and The Lighthouse. Popular Nikki Beach dishes with French-Riviera inspired creations by its chief chef were served by a hand-picked team of staff from the Club’s global footprint and their top DJ’s were flown in for the occasion. In preparation for the HFPA’s gala event to present its Humanitarian Award and accompanying $500,000 grant, BCG coordinates production with venue representatives and manages the guest list, including outreach to media guests. Presenters of the grant have included Jake Gyllenhaal (2017), Cate Blanchett, and John Travolta (2018) and Helen Mirren and Robert Pattinson (2019) and the event draws a who’s who of notables, requiring adept management of red carpet arrivals and proactive logistics.
